Description

About the project: Join MUCC's OTG program at Port Huron State Game Area in St. Clair County in partnership with the RJ Lytle Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society and the Michigan DNR to build brush piles in a wildlife managed clear-cut. Volunteers are needed on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 1:30 P.M. - 5 P.M. Gear, snacks, and a volunteer appreciation gift will be provided. All ages are welcome to attend.

Meeting location: Volunteers will meet at the Port Huron State Game Area parking lot on Kingsley Rd in Clyde Township (St. Clair County). A clear-cut area can be seen from the parking lot.

What to bring: Waterproof boots, a long-sleeved shirt, and long pants are recommended. We will be moving large logs and branches. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, although bottled water will be provided throughout the day. These projects will take place rain or shine unless there is severe weather so please dress accordingly.
